Storage, Handling, and Usage
Storage: We strongly recommend leaving Hemp-Derived Terpenes unopened and in a refrigerator at 41°F until ready for use. Do not ever freeze the bottle. After they’re opened you’ll still want to keep them in a dark refrigerator at between 41-50°F to preserve the wonderful sensitive aroma of the terpenes. Storing them improperly will result in aroma degradation. Similar to a jar of flower, the more you open and expose it to air and light, the more likely the terpenes will degrade/lose potency. For absolute best results, use within 3 months of receiving.
Handling: Wear gloves and eye protection when handling. Use in a properly ventilated area and out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes, wood surfaces, and fabrics.
Usage: It’s always a good idea to shake well before use. These are highly concentrated food grade terpenes for manufacturer use only. Do not directly ingest, inhale, or touch with bare skin prior to dilution. For dilution and mixing recommendations, click here for our mixing guide.

Are these "live resin" terpenes?
The short answer is that these are exactly like what you’re thinking of by saying “live resin” terpenes - except “live resin terpenes” is really a misnomer in the first place.

Are these “full spectrum”?
“Full spectrum” is a marketing term that doesn’t really apply to isolated terpenes alone. While our Hemp-Derived Terpenes do include the full range of aromatic compounds, they lack cannabinoids, which are required for a product to be labeled truly “full spectrum.”
However, you can use these terpenes to create full-spectrum finished products by combining them with a rich cannabinoid base. Our USDA Organic Terplandia™ Terpenes are half the equation - the other half is choosing an extract or distillate that contains a broad range of major and minor cannabinoids.

How do I make “full spectrum” finished products?
You need two things:
- A full range of cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, THCv, etc.).

Are these cannabis-derived terpenes (CDT)?
In short - no. We don’t label them as CDT because they come from hemp, not high-THC cannabis.
Hemp and cannabis are technically the same species (Cannabis sativa L.), but their breeding histories differ. We’re selectively breeding hemp specifically for flavor and aroma, and this is our second generation of doing so. It may take several more generations to fully close the gap with high-THC cannabis, which has had decades of selective breeding.
